MSNBC - Astrodome at capacity, turned away 3 dozen busses... |
|
...that had been routed there. They underestimated the dome's capacity.
Reported by a nattily attired and quaffed Janet Shandley(sp?).

Thousands of people outside, wanting to know if their friends and family are inside. This won't last 48 hours, never mind months.
This is going to get ugly. I mean really ugly.

I can imagine people at the Superdome. "Go ahead Grandma take the bus to the Astrodome, you need this more than us. We'll get on another bus later." Now they get to the Astrodome and they don't know if Grandma is inside.

4. Aren't there other staduims they could be sent to? |
|
Stadiums, malls, schools, convention centers, ANYTHING big enough to hold a couple hundred or thousand people? Personal gain or loss should mean nothing right now. EVERYONE in the country should be focused on helping those people.

5. Yep. They are going to other shelters in Houston - or the SA or Dallas. |

7. Well, San Antonio and Dallas are lined up. I know in Dallas will start |
|
tomorrow (Sat.) and will take 25,000 people. 12,000 in downtown Dallas, the rest will be going to surrounding area sites.
