Dallas hospital(s) put on yellow alert.... |
|
Just got a voicemail from the HCA hospital I work at--it's in a Dallas suburb. They've been put on yellow alert. Means they are looking for staff to offer availabilty this weekend. Not mandatory "for now". I imagine if our hospital is doing this, other DFW (HCA and non-HCA) facilities are also. Luckily, there are alot of major hospitals right in the downtown area where the refugees will be...including Parkland Hospital, the best trauma facility around.

3. Memories of Parkland... |

One of the nurses I knew there had trained at a place as bad or worse in terms of activity in the ER: Charity. It will be busy for awhile. Summer was always busy. Holidays were worse.
