Your preferred Charitable Organization ?
Don't know if this is dup'ed because the search engine is currently overloaded.

I know there is a FEMA list of recommended charitable organizations, but do you have a preferred choice?

I have been holding off thus far from donating $ until we can get an idea of who's organization may be the most effective in providing assistance.

3. I was watching the Black Caucus press conference
this morning. After the Congresspeople were through speaking, representatives of a couple of organizations spoke and told what they were doing and asked for help. One of the organizations was the NAACP. That's where my money will go. www.naacp.org

4. Salvation Army
The Red Cross was unwilling to go into New Orleans because of the 'violence' but the Salvation Army was there. The Salvation Army got my money.

9. I use Red cross because I am a volunteer.
I have never had a problem w/ Salvation Army. They were wonderful to use a few years ago.
But I donate mostly through my church. It's a good organization and they will get the money where it is needed. www.umc.org
