Condi Rice and Shoe Shopping - A Question... |
|
I post on another forum and they are talking about the shoe shopping Condi did Wednesday. Someone says she was shopping for people affected by the hurricane who are barefoot. In order to highlight the problem. Is there some evidence of this? Thanks.

Someone is saying that she was shoe shopping for the barefoot people - to highlight the problem. That she would donate shoes and do her little part. The person is quite serious.

Who said I believe it? I post on a forum for Catholics and before I challenged it, I wanted to get my facts straight. I don't know if the poster, who seems sincere, is making it up or if it's some sort of rumor among the right wing.

15. I'd suggest you check out the Ferragamo site. Hopefully prices will |
|
be there and you can ask the "Catholics" if they really think these would be good shoes to wear while rebuilding your home.

4. Ferragamos are not exactly pratical for people in this situation. |
|
But I'm sure this is how the Neo Cons will try to spin it and at least 20% of the population will buy it.

16. Wow. And The Daily Show isn't even |
|
running new shows this week. And, yet, this crazy story is right out of Samantha Bee or Rob Cordry. I can just hear Rob..."Today, Sec. of State Condoleeza Rice did her part for the victims of Hurricane Katrina by shopping for thousand dollar pumps on Madison Avenue." And then Jon's reaction.."So, Rob, you're saying our Sec. of State was buying pumps for EVERY VICTIM of the floods in New Orleans?". "Yes, Jon, that's right. She felt it was the least she could do." And that it, folks, the Bush administration once again doing "the least they can do."
