3. another trick question |
|
they asked if local state and federal agencies should be held responsible... so if you answer "yes" it leaves the back door open for the feds to push the responsibility down to the state and local levels. It's all such bullshit.

What I don't get is the 7% who don't think its the government's fault...could this be the last remnant of Bush's base?

13. The question presumes something could be done about it. |
|
Sorry, but it just won't happen. Blaming the government is like pouring water on a duck's back. No effect whatsoever.

16. It's a reflection of public opinion on the culpability of the govt. |

I think it's fascinating, duck's back or not. This country has been split for years. This looks like a consolidation to me.

Dobbs isn't still holding up that stupid sign showing how many days that traitor Judy Miller has been in jail, is he? Not that I have an opinion about any of that. ;)

Dobbs just suggested that much of the blame lies with the local political structure. The question lumps local, state, and federal government together. At least the local government tried and opened the SuperDome, however ineffectual that solution was. The federal government had a lot more means at their disposal and Bush completely ignored the problem and has only gone into action five business days after the fact. Plus the federal government policies regarding the destruction of protective wetlands around New Orleans and failure to beef up the levees has the greater part of the blame in my opinion.
