9. WDSU: Bus Carrying Evacuees Overturns In Louisiana (1 dead)

Louisiana State Police say one person is dead after a charter bus carrying evacuees overturned Friday afternoon in Opelousas, La.

The accident happened on Interstate 49 at Creswell Lane. The bus was headed to Dallas, CNN reported.

At least 10 people were taken to hospitals, several critically injured, The Daily World of Opelousas reported on its Web site.

Trooper Willie Williams, spokesman for the state police, said the driver lost control of the vehicle, but other details were not immediately known.
