Set yer VCRs - I'm going to be on the BBC world news tonight

I got an email earlier from the planning producer at the BBC world news asking if someone from DU could take part in a 2-3 minute interview on tonight's broadcast. Since Skinner's not here, I'm it. I'll be heading over to the studio in DC just before 8pm eastern tonight. They seem to want to talk about the suggestion that Bush's appearance in New Orleans was timed to coincide with aid reaching the Superdome.

BBC world news is broadcast on PBS stations in America, but times vary so if you want to see it check your listings. It's also broadcast pretty much all over the world. Wish me luck :)

Always ad the DU to whatever statement. If someone tries to hammer you with five questions in a row and then demands one answer quickly, that just frees you up to say, "That's all well and good but the DemocraticUnderground website believes yada yada yada.."

Now I was trained by a pal of my wife's colleg buddy (a lobbyist), and this person had trained Senators to go on talk shows, etc..

And I was being coached quickly because I was going before advesarial talking heads, the BBC will be a piece of cake and it will go much quicker than you think..

DON'T look at the monitor if you can help it, most of them have a delay going on and if you see yourself still saying the last thing you said while you are saying something new it becomes disconcerting and wierd, it'll mess with your head :)

You're gonna do great, and it's one of the best points in all this, besides us being IRAQed in our own country by these thugs, Cheney hasn't shown up because he was inking the Halliburton deal (like in Iraq), brown people suffered and died (like in Iraq), Bush is hugging the suffering (war moms in Iraq), and it's all for show..

I knew something was up when I saw Rove was travelling with, carrying BAGS for Bush.. that was homework.. when I saw the Buses I knew for SURE..

I'll try and TIVO it if I can (we're in Hawaii so I missed it already maybe)..

CNN, the BBC usually gets a second corroborating source for sensitive issues, they don't just throw up any old "Joe NASCAR" who has a sensational rumor and then try to build the truth around the rumor.

Not saying this "withholding Aid" thing isn't true, but I think the BBC is probably "investigating" this first.
