"The results are not acceptable" Is Clinton prompting Bush on this? |
|
"The results are not acceptable" This is about the closest thing to an apology or an explanation that Bush would ever offer on anything. When I first heard Bush say this the first person I thought of was President Clinton. He would often admit that the federal government was not doing enough in certain circumstances to provide for it's citizens. This just does not sound like Bush at all. Considering Bush has to call his father and Clinton whenever his administration needs to put a compassionate spin on things, per haps Clinton prompted him on this response which is so un Bush like. Plus it distances himself from his on administrations failings when it comes to Homeland Security and disaster response.

2. Yeah that sounds like Clinton not Bush. Bush is usually defensive |

and tries to justify his actions.

a response to the Nagin interview getting so much attention. Watch carefully and you can see that the WH is simply REACTING to the media coverage/public criticism, and has been since Monday.

4. It was a memorized line - maybe Clinton's input |

A couple of hours later, Bush was praising FEMA for doing an outstanding job, with no mention of any inadequacy, as though he'd never said it.
