Televangelist Jack Van Impe called Robertson "an Osami bin Laden"


Televangelist and self-proclaimed Biblical prophecy expert Jack Van Impe denounced Pat Robertson's call for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, comparing Robertson to Osama bin Laden.

Not only that, but Mr. Robertson, you are pro-life, and yet you wanted the members of the Supreme Court to die last year, and now the president of Venezuela. We believe this book: Thou shalt not kill; Exodus 20, verse 13. And my Bible says that this is wrong, and I want to challenge you right now to change your ways. Because we as Christians do not need an Osami Bin Laden leading us.

Wow, maybe there are actually some preachers who actually believe the stuff they preach.

3. Van Impe is nuts, but not as offensive as most of them

I used to watch his show pretty regularly.
I think he & his wife DO sincerely believe, and I think they sincerely DO believe they are helping people and doing God's work.
I disagree with them, but I sort of admire them for at least being sincere.
I'm pretty sensitive to "vibes" and the vibe I get from them is that they truly care, and are doing what they think is right.
But, they're still nuts.

who sees rapture and Armageddon around every corner, under his bed, every day and twice on Sunday.... Praise the Lord!!

Both he and his polyvinylchloride wife are certifiable.

he will be telling people to love one another and feed the poor and all of that.
