Trent Lott, You Son of a bitch! Tell me those lies to my face!
Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 06:24 PM by Tom Yossarian Joad
That low life mother fucker.

How stupid does he think we are... Everythings going as well as it could my ass. He says it hard to put a positive spin on this.

(thanks for listening.)

On edit, He just said "send bodies." What's the matter, doesn't he have enough?

1. yeah, the "it's hard to put a positive spin on this" was the only honest

2. I was just saying the same thing to the TV
He actually had the fucking balls to say that they've been getting aid in since the first day? Lying sack of shit.

And, in response to his lies about how long it takes to get the National Guard rolling . . . BULLSHIT to that too. I was in the National Guard. It takes less than 24 hours to mobilize the guard. When the L.A. riots happened in '92, we were there ready to go from Fresno, Visalia and Bakersfield THAT NIGHT (okay, early the next morning about 2 AM to be fair).

That dirtbag can go f himself.

3. I just saw/heard Lott...
Is he telling the truth about voting for increased or at least maintaining the budget for the levies and pumps (Army Corps of Engineers) flood control and such?

And of course he is giving the same spin that everybody needs to be patient. Are they kidding?

10. You must be referring to this story:
http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4200/is_20050606/ai_n14657367
"...a study to determine ways to protect the region from a Category 5 hurricane has been shelved for now..."

"I think it's extremely shortsighted, Landrieu said. When the Corps of Engineers' budget is cut, Louisiana bleeds. These projects are literally life-and-death projects to the people of south Louisiana and they are (of) vital economic interest to the entire nation."

"One of the hardest-hit areas of the New Orleans district's budget is the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project, which was created after the May 1995 flood to improve drainage in Jefferson, Orleans and St. Tammany parishes. "

"The district has identified $35 million in projects to build and improve levees, floodwalls and pumping stations in St. Bernard, Orleans, Jefferson and St. Charles parishes. Those projects are included in a Corps line item called Lake Pontchartrain, where funding is scheduled to be cut from $5.7 million this year to $2.9 million in 2006..."

11. I knew the budget was cut and has been cut steadily
and deeply since 2001. What I am wondering is if Trent Lott votes for or against those cuts?
