Such a long deep healing must happen with all the folks |
|
It is like all the evacutees must have places ...albeit temporary... but solid. Thats what is wrong about big domes as shelter. Many folks must be taken in and cared for.
I believe we need to help beyond what is usually done. Lots of counseling. Lots of connections to folks that are stable and want to open their hearts and places.

1. These people are going to need a lot of help |
|
they will be in shock for a very long time.
Seeing the dead (many their own family members and/or friends) left unattended for so long will have a long term effect on a lot of people.
We are seeing this vicariously -- through the eyes of the reporters on scene and we are extremely upset. Just watching this crisis unfold in front of us will impact us -- now consider how the people who lived through this hell will cope?
We are sharing our anger and outrage here at DU -- which is why DU is on level 3. Imagine how the survivors are going to need to rant & rage and grieve???
Of course this is obvious to the vast majority of DU participants -- I am merely stating the obvious.
