12. No shit, xultar. They and a smattering of other Dems have been
the only ones who have even tried to hold ** accountable.

BTW, I am so sorry about your people in NO...I feel ashamed and sickened. I am really starting to think that ** left them there to die...maybe on purpose. :( :( :( :( :( :(

on a way to look compassionate and busy and yet withhold their criticism, because it wouldn't be appropriate to comment at this time on this colossal failure of leadership. So says the coward Pelosi.

This sorry excuse of a congressperson MISrepresents one of the most anti-war cities in America, San Francisco, yet continues to vote for funding the occupation in Iraq and Palestine.
United for Peace and Justice will call her out on September 26th.

30. Ba-ding!!! You get your wish!!!! On Aaron Brown just this evening,
and on, I believe, the local Fux affiliate this morning.
This morning, numerous members of the caucus held a press conference, and ripped this administration a new one.
This evening, errrr, damn, I'm tired and I can't remember her name, she was asked by Brown whether this was a race issue. She responded that it looked like a class issue that included bigotry. She stated her case elegantly and convincingly.
Hooray for this front and center news coverage.

I'm so proud of the CBC members. They are awesome. But I think it speaks volumes about the state of the Democratic Party that the CBC members are the only ones really speaking out now.

Where are the others?

the CBC will hide behind safe terms, such as conservative principles, mistake, and incompetency; terms that do nothing but perpetuate denial and justify horrors. We can trust the CBC to lift the veil and speak the truth.

knew that the election was stolen. They only needed ONE senator! Obviously, we need more black senators. (Maybe if Barack Obama had been a senator at the time, it would have happened.) Was there even one black senator in 2000?

39. I love our Black Caucus so much!!!
Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 11:30 PM by Just Me
They ARE the voice of America and of humanity and of compassion. I am so humbly grateful for their presence and influence. I yearn to be a member of that circle of hope; but, I am a pale-skinned female. x( That shouldn't make a difference, I know.

I'm tired of cold & heartless white people infecting others perspective of me, my views/thoughts/feelings, and my life among others who just look different from me. I'm not cold or heartless. I view myself as a member of one race,...the human race. I find the variety among our race,...delicious and beautiful,...like a natural, multifaceted landscape being embraced by a colorful sunset.

I love our Black Caucus so much. I can't imagine life in this country without them.

46. My sentiments exactly
I watched their press conference and thought, why are they the only moral conscience left in the Congress? Time after time, the Black Caucus is the only recognizable group of Dems taking the stand I want to hear.
There are other individual Dems who will speak to the hard issues, but not the Dogs or the DLC or any other group.
