WHO was it that mentioned "privatizing" resuce operations?
I heard it on TV but was in my office and there wasn't any elaboration. I think it might have been on O'Reilly?!?

This makes me wonder if some of this neglect is either intentional for the purpose of (or most certainlly will be used to) justify privatizing rescue, etc.? Forgive my ignorance on this--I know very little about all the different cogs in these kinds of wheels (which agencies are responsible for what and where the $ comes from.

Could this be a possibility? Or is it too far-fetched?

3. discrediting all government functioning
getting people to think the govt. is good for nothing.

No it's not far-fetched at all, and I think it is a lot like the wholesale attacks on the judicial branch.

it's like the war, medicade, our school system, social security, the idea is to break em and replace em with your friends new no-bid contract business.
