If we can equip, house, and feed an army in a foreign country , why |

cannot similar logistics be used to relieve the people of New Orleans? Tents...latrines...military transport...medical staff...meals.... It's a big project, but it's NOT FUCKING ROCKET SCIENCE. Where is the will to get this done, and get it done fast!?

If this had happened in another country, the US Army and other organizations would have been on the ground with tents and food since at the worst Wednesday (probably even before).

... not just with military organization, but assisting in Europe and Japan after the war, and countless disasters around the world -- places which were farther away, more extensive, and even more seriously damaged.
