I'm sick to death of this profiteering. This is EXACTLY why Bush drags his feet on these Atrocities. It okay to let people die as long as you don't kill the profits. If we slow response times or streach ourself way too thin. We maximize the profit potential of disasters. GIVE AMERICA GIVE! Oh Yeah and here's Tax Form. This is Double Billing that Halliburton would kill for. Probably Bush and Cheney too.

If they need to air lift people out of NOLA. Commandeer the damned planes! This is a state of emergency. Sorry I'm not giving any frequent flyer miles. Anything needed to provide for the General Welfare of that area durring this STATE OF EMERGENCY may be commandeered (we are going to borrow this) or Seized (You are not getting this back.) We no longer live in freedom. America is now a Country of GREEDOM. What tragedy is Coporate America going to sell us next? Sorry, I'm not buying it!

1. I agree, but that's completely not the issue...
Let the federal government comandeer every Greyhound bus within 1000 miles of NOLA. Put guardsmen in the drivers' seats and use them for evacuations. Then, pay Greyhound cross-country fare for full capacity on all the buses that were comandeered.

We don't even have to stiff private companies. Just take what we need and reimburse them. Everybody wins.

4. Yes I did the man is a Hero and a great Patriot.
I'm just sick of this Atmosphere that money comes before lives. That America won't help these people without carrots. That we have no Common decency.

Maybe I just found my breaking point and snaped. But this is getting under my skin. We are not vending machines. We can work without people putting money in us. Yes it helps a great deal. But Lives come first. We can do the accounting later.
