Nero: We will offer LOW-INTEREST LOANS to victims
THE PRESIDENT: Well, I appreciate that. The -- FEMA will be providing a lot of temporary housing. And that's one of the responsibilities that FEMA assumes, to find shelter for people.
And in terms of the longer term, the government has got the capacity to make low-interest loans and help businesses get back going.

So. FEMA intends to get people "going" again by CHARGING INTEREST. After all, SOMEONE has to profit! And which company, I wonder, will be selected to rebuild the infrastructure of the Deep South? Could it be.......HALLIBURTON?

3. These craven fuckers show time and again they haven't a clue
about what it's like to be of modest means. or just getting by. And certainly not the slightest idea of what it means to be poor.

5. in florida my kin got 7000 no questions asked
my brother in law's roof lost a couple of shingles, his pool surround got banged up (all fixed for under 200)
FEMA pre election was dying to hand out money. He got in line, told his sad story and got a check--no lie, my other sister was visiting at the time and was astounded. Our repuke sister and her husband hate "taxes" but enjoyed the bounty of our government.

Vote Republican? You bet but they were going to anyway. they thought it a delightful gift from their boy chimp.

I am worried sick about my dogs. I've written lots of emails, and I will call a new hotline tomorrow... it is so hard to sleep when many of my friends and my people in New Orleans are dying right before my very eyes, live on TV!

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=102&topic_id=1747674&mesg_id=1748410

And LOANS!!!! :grr: What, are we re-initiating indentured service? On top of that, remember that with the new bankruptcy law, they are screwed blue and tatooed FOREVER. THAT needs to be pushed for immediate change. That law is an immoral and blatant giveaway to the credit card companies anyway.

25. "Low interest loans". These are people who are dirt poor
And they just lost the dirt, too. He's thinking like they just need to call their brokers and restructure their portfolios. Typical.

Here's President Nero, again, submitted FYA:
