1. ooooo, good question. I'd like to see a satellite image of the lot.
Is that where I saw all those flooded buses?

11. Thinking the same thing. When I saw that picture on the TV ...
... the other day, I screeched at the screen at the incompetence of having allowed them to become flooded, and at the insanity that they weren't used to get more people out of New Orleans beforehand.

3. Since their servers are down...
... it's a bit tricky to divine departments, etc., but, from what I can find, transportation comes under the operations department for the Jefferson Parish Public Schools.

The Operations Department address is:

4600 RIVER RD, MARRERO, LA 70072

Cheers.

4. I found this on Infospace:
Orleans Parish School Board - Algiers School Bus Drivers Lounge
801 Patterson Drive
New Orleans, LA 70114

That's not the same location as that shown on Drudge's site (linked to Yahoo)
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/050901/480/flpc21109012015

I wonder what parish that is from if it's not Orleans?

And, over what parishes does Nagin have authority? Just Orleans or others, too?

6. That image of the flooded buses on Yahoo now on Drudge
used to slam the mayor as to why he didn't use those buses to evac people. I'm wondering if those are buses in a different parish that were flooded BEFORE the levee break.

The first map I posted shows what I believe is the Orleans Parish bus compound and the size of that parking lot does NOT match that of the Yahoo image.

8. Here is some info on Orleans Parish that might be helpful
The names of communities under Orleans Parish:

Unincorporated areas of interest in the parish include Algiers, Chef Menteur, Green Ditch, Lake Catherine, Little Woods, Recovery, Rigolets, Stanton and Venetian Isles

10. Come on DU Investigators! Someone's gotta have this info!
Then again, I've been searching like mad and can't find anything definitive.

I'd really like to nail this down. Something just tells me that Yahoo pic is either of buses that were flooded before the levee broke or they're from a different parish.
