Questions!! Has the Red Cross
ever been kept out of a disaster zone before? How soon did our servicemen reach the tsunami victims? Is there anything we can compare this to?
Did fema respond more rapidly to disasters before being take over by homeland security or did that just put another level of bureaucracy to go through?

4. Do you agree with the 'eventual, total evacuation' plan?
Keep in mind that 'total evacuation' would
make it easier for the city or state
to condemm entire neighborhoods.

Homeland Security won't let Red Cross deliver food

As the National Guard delivered food to the New Orleans convention center yesterday, American Red Cross officials said that federal emergency management authorities would not allow them to do the same.

Other relief agencies say the area is so damaged and dangerous that they doubted they could conduct mass feeding there now.

"The Homeland Security Department has requested and continues to request that the American Red Cross not come back into New Orleans," said Renita Hosler, spokeswoman for the Red Cross.
