Buses have stopped running again! CNN
Edited on Sat Sep-03-05 08:05 AM by OmmmSweetOmmm
It seems that there are still 2000 stranded at the Super Dome and might not be able to be evacuated until tomorrow. The reporter said he had no idea why the buses have stopped running.

Maybe because the shrub's dog and pony show is over?

4. A reporter is now on the street and there are hundreds on the street and
why are they still there??? They are talking about how quiet they are. Maybe because they finally received some water and food??? And yet, considering that there is supposed to be evacuating going on, they are still there.

It is a scene out of a third world country.

3. It seems that there is a disease outbreak somewhere -
read on the Interdictor blog (comments section, today), but no other detail.

Not that that is any reason to leave people there, dying.

at the Ritz Carlton or Hyatt Regency. Yesterday Wolf had a woman on speaking from Baltimore thanking Wolf for helping her and 300 others escape the Ritz the night before and Maureen Dowd mentioned today that hundreds at the Hyatt were evacuated from there. Meanwhile, people are still at the Dome and Ctr.

7. My God, is there no one
in charge of things down there. This tells me that the rest of us are on our own if any kind of disaster strikes in our home cities. The whole administration and every agency that should be helping down there is holding back efforts because that means they have to spend money that has long been stolen.

have not been evacuated either, it doesn't seem that they have ever even started. There is something very strange going on, imo. Supposedly there are buses outside the Center but I have yet to see any photos of them. If they are there, why are they not evacuating people and if they are not there, where the hell are they?

Edited to add: It seems this General Honore is now on the scene, he's the guy that the Mayor had confidence in, so maybe things will start happening for those desparate people.
