Are we prepared for the cover-up that is to come?
I'm really worried about this. With the reporting of people like Anderson Cooper, and even Smith and Rivera from Fox, surely the regime is not going to want the truth to come out. Red Cross not being allowed in, people not being allowed out, rich people evacuated while the poor are left to die, and we haven't come to the part where the bodies are removed and we see how many THOUSANDS of people might have have died in the aftermath due to the lack of aid.

Does this "administration" really intend to let the press report on the numbers of dead from the aftermath? When it could be tens of thousands or worse?

Somehow, I just see some "emergency declaration" happening where the free press is not allowed access to information FROM WITHIN THE U.S..

Call me a tinfoil hat wearer, but I really fear this.

1. Those are standard operating procedure you're talking about.
It's an open question how they managed to get anything through like they did in the past few days. There must have been a huge mutiny.

But it's been put down. They're back on the "talking points," while the victims are denied food and water and forced to resort to cannibalism.

2. That's because this is not about politics or placing blame.
:grr:

I'm also getting sick of hearing that.

3. I think it's time to call on our foreign DUers for help.
DUers from any country outside the U.S. should begin to get on their media persons to report these things. Once the administration begins it's lock-down, this will be the only way to get pertinent information out there.

5. you have good reason to worry
I'd bet my next 6 paychecks that this adminsitration WILL actively do anything they need to do to minimalize this abortion of a "rescue" effort. They will lie, they will threaten, they will divert attention, they will enact draconian measures under the guise of safety that are in reality designed to conceal, reporters who get too close may end up being shot by "looters".

The total number of dead will be the most closely-held of secrets.

By the way, what's your take on who's really running this? We can dispense with the idiot with no further comment, I hope. So the question becomes, is it Rumsfeld or Cheney running the doomsday scenario? My guess is Rumsfeld. I think he has a special love for suffering and death. And who knows, maybe Cheney has 18 wires and 2 IV's running into his bilious near-corpse.
