Parallels btw Iraq/Katrina disaster; my LTTE
Here's what I wrote to our county weekly. We have a large contingent of freepers/fundies here, and so I tailored it to get them thinking:

The events unfolding on the Gulf Coast point up a disturbing trend in the way the Bush Administration handles operations. Just as in the Iraq War, we see a woeful lack of preparedness. In the War, inadequate numbers of troops were sent in and could not secure order; in the Gulf, inadequate numbers of troops were sent in late, making it difficult to restore order. In the War, our troops were shipped out without adequate numbers of armored Humvees and without adequate body armor; the people of the Gulf Coast, especially New Orleans, were herded into shelters where there was an inadequate stock of basic necessities such as food and water.

If this is how the Bush Administration handles things when they know they will happen, what will occur if, God forbid, we are subject to another major terrorist attack?
