Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way! |
|
I think we need to seriously petition our members of Congress who care too much about offending someone to do an effective job. They have "led". They have failed miserably at leadership. It is time for them to follow now. Move the Congressional Black Caucus to the front and let them lead the party as they have been doing. If they don't like it, resign. We don't need do-nothings. Our country is in crisis and if they can't fucking do their job because they are too concerned about their lost pork--get the hell out. We don't need-or want them.

1. I thought Michael Eric Dyson made an excellent point on Real Time |

with Bill Maher last night.
The Democrats are morally required to stand up and defend and fight for the people they represent. These are people they represent. They have a moral obligation right now, they can not sit back and let this administration implode. They must fight for their people.
I guess we need to make this point very clear to them by phone, e-mail, etc.

2. I've just been reminded... |

Of how during the 1992 Democratic Presidential Convention, Nominee Bill Clinton said the same thing to George H.W. Bush: "If you won't lead, step aside. I will."
