Reports of violence at the convention center are way overblown BS. |
|
This morning I talked to a friend who stayed through the hurricane and fled to Memphis on Wed.
His brother and sister-in-law were flooded out of their home and went to the Convention Center. They spent one day and night there and said that the people were very orderly. All they were doing was looking for food and water.
By pure luck they managed to make a call to a friend in Houma and the call went through. They had to walk across the Mississippi River bridge to get picked up, but they got out yesterday.

1. So there are more ways out of the city than they reported on TV. |

2. You can't drive across the birdge, but you can walk across it. |

Cars can get to the other side of the bridge and get people out through South LA. That's how they did it.

3. I mentioned to a right wing friend last night that it was wrong that |
|
help is so slow in arriving.
His reply was that "THEY are shooting at the HELICOPTERS. (plural)
I told him that that was ONE incident. He said it was happening over and over.
I had to explin, as best I could, that it was one time, but repeated over and over and over in the media.
