Where the fuck is that poor excuse of a Vice President? When Al Gore is flying fucking planes into New Orleans to rescue families you would think the VP could at least fly to MS and check up on his fellow KKK members. Jeeze.

9. I don't know if this is true
or if the person I was talking to was joking, but someone told me that his wife, Lynn, said she doesn't want him to leave the house because of his heart. The most revealing part of that statement to me was that he might have a heart.

That's all the information I have heard about him since before this hurrricane struck. It's probably not true, but I asked, and that was the answer I got. No verification or links to provide, sorry.

24. I had heard
that he was so sick right now that the don't know if he is coming or going. That is my discription of it. When the topic came up, it wasn't important, so I didn't make a big deal out of it.

I was yacking with my mother and she seen an interview with a Sen. or Congressman and Cheney was brought up. His response more or less indicated that Cheney really, really isn't avalible right now and might not ever be again.

Since it's days after she seen the interview, she doesn't remember who it was, what station, etc.

But the whole issue is crazy. Before Gore, VP's didn't do much. Cheney did take on more.. but look who his boss is. He kinda had to.

We all know that Cheney has major health issues and "checks out" at times to take care of it. Because of Nationa security, that stuff isn't always reported. If it was a different Presidentcy, it wouldn't be a big deal. But with this one, the whole world depends on Cheney to help Bush. Which makes it a major National Security issue. Just like we didn't know how bad Regean really was until well after the fact, we will not know about Cheney until everything is "clear."

56. I know B* has no brain, and relies on Cheney and KKKRove to make
whole sentences for him, but Cheney and Rove's 'help' in any form is a National Security issue in itself! The world could do without help from their ilk. I hope Cheney is sick, but he's been too busy strumming up business for Halliburton (now to clean up the messoGulfCoast as well as Messopotamia), who is once again being set up to profit BIG time on the deaths of innocents. ALSO. he's to be in Canada to inspect their oil reserves!

I started a thread last week noting that something seemed amiss with Bunnyboy and wondered if Cheney wasn't pulling his strings behind the scenes, or selling him out in the hope he can (officially) take over the government. A coup, if you will.

Face it - if Cheney had been hands-on with this fiasco, it would have been run better. Instead, he's nowhere to be found and it's a complete fuckup. Deliberate? I think so. For the first time Bush has had to deal with a situation and he failed. The public is turning against him in droves. Impeachment is no longer a forbidden word. Cheney isn't dumb, he stayed out of this on purpose.

Just speculatin'.

64. Oil sands? Found it.
Edited on Sat Sep-03-05 07:52 PM by NYC
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/ArticleNews/TPStory/LAC/20050830/RREGULY30/TPNational/Canada

Let's connect the dots. U.S. Treasury Secretary John Snow visited Alberta in July. Vice-President Dick Cheney is going in September. Meanwhile, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, headed by another Republican, Christopher Cox, may be on the verge of relaxing its oil reserve reporting requirements. If it does, the theoretical value of Alberta's oil sands will soar.

The Republicans are evidently falling in love with the oil sands, located right next door in friendly, OPEC-free Canada, complete with pipelines that cross the border. The question is whether the romance will be consummated by takeovers that would leave the oil sands industry largely in foreign hands.
