6. I know first hand that RC is a rip off!

I'm telling you that first hand I saw that the red cross is "inadequate" and literally nonexistant! When we were flooded in Isabel, they rode by in a truck and threw mops out in front of our uninhabitable houses! The SALVATION ARMY came and brought food and much needed coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can not say this enough! The Red Cross will NEVER get ONE penny of my money. I was there and KNOW what they do. The Salvation Army may have religious views that are questionable to some; BUT, they are THERE offering prayer to those that WANT it... it is in no way FORCED on you. There are just not enough words to thank these people for picking us up in our greatest time of need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9. Yes, we have relatives who lost everything

in a hurricane quite a few years ago. They said the Salvation Army provided them with much-needed supplies like food, water, clothes, and the Red Cross gave them a whopping TWO OUTFITS OF CLOTHES.....

7. I complained of this once to a person in the know

in the RC.
It really does come down to you get what you pay for. A person's salary in this sort of position isn't entirely based on their ability to lead but also on the connections they have to acquire donations.
