Letter to my elected representatives |
|
All Nazis, by the way: Northup, Bunning, McConnell.
They're all about the same, here's the one to Mitch McConnell:
IMPEACH GEORGE W BUSH IMPEACH GEORGE W BUSH Impeach Dick Cheney Fire Michael Chertoff Fire Mike Brown
I'm going to start sending this message to you every day. But I'm going to begin attaching a picture of a different dead person every day, a baby, an elderly person, an invalid, all dead in New Orleans, all dead because of the NEGLIGENCE AND GROSS INCOMPETENCE of the entire Administration. George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Mike Chertoff, and Mike Brown are guilty of tens of thousands of counts of NEGLIGENT HOMICIDE, and they must be held to account, or we must get new representation that isn't afraid of doing what is right.
Loyalty to party, or loyalty to country. It's time for you to decide, Senator McConnell. We get to make OUR decision at the polling place, and you can be certain your constituents' decisions will be made based on the decisions you make now.
With utmost sincerity,

1. I just sent this one to my Republian representative |
|
Subject: Impeachment of President Bush
Dear Congressman Walden:
This is the first letter I have ever written to any U. S. representative. I realize that you are not likely to be receptive to someone who clearly is not in agreement with your political position. Nonetheless I feel I have no choice but to request that you, as my elected representative, support the motion to impeach President Bush that will very likely be put forth in the Congress in the coming weeks.
I realize that you staunchly supported his disastrous war and domestic policies that favor the very wealthy over average American citizens. The dismal failure of the Bush administration to prepare for and respond to the ongoing tragedy of Hurricane Katrina should be all the reason you need to concur with most Americans that George Bush is unfit to lead this country.
Like many Oregonians, I worked very hard to see him defeated in Oregon. Unfortunately other states are not as enlightened as we are and do not have an election process that can be trusted as ours can. I spoke out very publicly against the invasion of Iraq before it took place and before Bush’s plummeting approval rating made it safe to do so. It is very unlikely that I will vote for you or anyone who enabled Bush’s criminal invasion based upon lies. I am only asking that my right as a citizen of Oregon to beseech your assistance not be taken lightly. You have the grave responsibility of preserving this republic while the very fabric of our civilization seems to be unraveling. You cannot be blind to the damage the Bush administration has done in past five years. Act now so that Bush’s disastrous legacy will not also be yours.

2. I didn't send a letter - I called Clay Shaw's local office yesterday. |
|
The young girl answering the phones had her script down pat. When I asked what Mr. Shaw intended to do about helping the people most affected by Katrina, she informed me that Congress had just passed the emergency funding bill. I said that I'm aware of that, and I know she's just answering the phone, and that she's not the one that I'm pissed at. But she had best let Mr. Shaw know that this is a completely unacceptable answer. There are people dying in the streets in NO and it would behoove him to get off his butt and do something. And I would appreciate him getting back to me with some sort of adequate response.

3. Clinton receive hundreds of thousands of phone calls regarding |
|
his "Dont' Ask, Don't Tell" policy. I wonder what would happen if the WH received, oh let's say, a million letters like this?
