Anyone waiting for the other shoe to drop?

With our resources stretched so thin, and no leadership apparent, I wonder how many weeks we would have to wait for a response to a terrorist attack right now.

1. Why wasn't the threat level raised last Saturday?

Seems to me the real "terrorist threat" to our nation is not some misguided fanatics with bombs...but being unprepared for domestic natural disasters, like Katrina.

I want this administration to explain why spend $300BB over 3 years, fighting a nebulous "War on Terror" in godforsaken Iraq made more sense than investing that money in our infrastructure. That investment, by the way, that would create jobs and ripple in our economy. For that $300BB investment, we just got another $100BB bill.
