A high-impact conversion from R to D |
|
Our paint department head is a black woman who USED to like George Bush.
I went to lunch today smelling of pool chlorine (I'll explain in another thread) and a few people were discussing Kanye West's comments. So she pipes in with some shit about how you can't blame pResident Bush because he's doing a wonderful job under the circumstances.
Oh. My. God.
What she apparently didn't realize until that very instant was that the six people lunching at the time were all Democrats. Some of them very serious Democrats.
Who informed her in no uncertain terms just how well Mr. Bush has done under the circumstances.
Her last words as she left the room were "that fucking bastard, how could he?"

4. We were experimenting with pool chlorine as a cleaning agent |
|
I thought that pool chlorine could be used as a halfway decent disinfectant, so we called up Louisiana to find out if they wanted us to send them any. "No, we have a lot of it, but we haven't had time to figure out how to mix it."
Fortunately for us, one of our people is married to a Health Department worker who has a key. We got said Health Department worker to go get his bacterial test kit and come down to the store. What we were looking for is the lowest concentration of chlorine that would kill lots of bacteria in a couple of minutes--that way, once we doubled it, we'd have a good long-lasting cleaner.
If you put four gallons of water in a five-gallon bucket, then add a cup and a half of pool chlorine, you get a cleaner that will destroy the germs on a damaged fiberglass bathtub coated with our rather unscientific test Simulation of New Orleans Water (we got about twenty people to piss and shit in a bucket, put a lid on the bucket and left it behind the building for an hour--LOTS of germs in that!) in about a minute. We used a fiberglass bathtub because we had one that was broken too badly to sell, so we donated it in the furtherance of science.
We also brewed up a batch of supertropical bleach just like the Army has--fill a bucket about half full of pool chlorine, add water slowly while stirring until it forms a paste, and you've got a cleaner that will strip the paint off houses, remove nose hairs and kill germs embedded really deeply into a surface.

9. She brought that on herself--I don't feel sorry for her... |
|
A black man at our local market, didn't exactly defend shrub yesterday, but he didn't condemn him either. I asked him how much he'd seen... He hadn't seen what we had--I wanted to send him to the right places to see, but we were done and there were others in line.
I'll probably go back later this week, to see if he's changed his mind. I didn't take it personally, I know he's probably watching msm and didn't know any better.
