FOX just reported that one military official said the troops in Iraq are being sent to New Orleans because they "just can't concentrate on their jobs knowing what's going on at home."

What bullshit, trying to imply that it was their idea and not a desperate measure by Bush trying to salvage one of the biggest fuck-ups by a U.S. president in history. :grr: :grr:

Ever since they first started sending NG to Iraq, that was the first thing that I thought of! If there were, God forbid, another terrorist attack here, there would be no NG to protect us!!

And after what we've seen in NO for the past week, we now know they never planned on protecting us in the first place!!

Edit: btw, I was just watching some political discussion about this on MSNBC. The commentators said they couldn't see any way that this could possibly be good for Bush!!
