MANDATORY CACHES OF MRE'S IN ARMORIES AND |
ELSEWHERE IN COASTAL CITIES PRONE TO HURRICANES. THEY LAST 12 FRIGGING YEARS, WHAT IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT MAKING PREPARATIONS SUCH AS THESE??? EVEN IF THEY DIDN'T WANT TO STORE SUFFICIENT QUANTITIES IN THE CITIES THEY COULD BE GIVEN TO PEOPLE WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO HANG ONTO THEM AND USE ANDREW AND KATRINA AS AN EXAMPLE OF WHY IT WOULD BE WISE FOR THEM TO DO SO.

1. We did this in fallout shelters, after all! |
Every single city in the USA had rations in fallout shelters during the Cold War.

been worked out already knowing what we know about the risk NO is/was under astounds me.

5. There are Armories throughout the coastal region. |
How much trouble would it have been to have guard or volunteers load trucks and if the Guard doesn't have trucks because they are off on an adventure in Iraq, Ryder rents trucks.

within 24 hours, no matter where they were stored. Even if they were in a warehouse in Alaska.

7. True that, but consider this... the MRE'S are WATERPROOF, |
nothing would/should bother them, no matter where they were stored. They should be there, ready and waiting for times such as these. There is no excuse for these people going without food or water for DAYS IN THE RICHEST NATION ON EARTH. There is no reason for third world nations' responses to upstage our own, but that is the sad truth of it.
