3. Did you pop off about this about 5 days ago? Someone did. |
|
The question was -- who would be vice? Obviously not Gore. And with Wes having such a solid showing last election why would he be vice?

8. You want to run two proven losers? |
|
Edited on Sat Sep-03-05 05:27 PM by bowens43
You have to be kidding. Gore lost against the idiot when he had everything going for him and the Democrats spoke very loudly about how they feel about Clark in 2004 primaries. Any ticket that includes Kerry, Clark, Kucinch, Gore or any of the 2004 candidates is a sure loser.
It's time for someone new.

24. How can we have free elections if voting machines are not thrown out ? |
|
They talk about election reform, paper trails, voter reciepts, etc, but isn't the vote count changed in real time by hackers working for the voting machine companies and the gov't, who change the vote after the polls close ? If so, then the only way they would be caught would be if a recount was needed, when people turned in their receipts to be counted. ... IF there is no need for a recount, then they will continue to steal them. WE NEED TO THROW OUT THE MACHINES !!!!!!!!! WRITE YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS.

16. Clark's primary loss is not as simple as that..... |
|
Edited on Sat Sep-03-05 05:40 PM by FrenchieCat
There was a late entry, not competing in Iowa (yet he still won a primary and came in 2nd all over the southwest, despite the media fucking ignoring him while it was tooting Kerry and Edwards).
I will add to the list of reasons those lazy Democrats who instead of doing their homework, slashed their own throats by believing and using the attacks handed to them by the Right Wing (who certainly didn't want Clark).

I don't want anyone on the ticket who supported the IWR or kissed the Coward's butt in any way.
These two pass that test.
Plus, I love their progressive stance on many issues.

15. This is the best lineup |
|
This is the best lineup for 2008 I've heard yet. They'd be an unstoppable team I think. I dare say Gore' had a chance to do some soul searching and has likely learned a thing or too since he last ran . I'm sure he'd be more ag=ssertive and dynamic in delivering his message. And the General, well he's just impeccable, isn't he? It would set things right in a number of ways, put us on the track America shuld have been on since 2000.
...Though undoubtedly America's road back will be a hard one with all the damamge that's been done.
I like it.

17. Yes! Gore/Clark in 2008, then Clark/Conyers in 2016! |
|
Although Conyers may be a little too old by then... but I'll bet he'd still be up to the task! Defintely more so than Cheney is now.

21. I think it's a great idea (I love Clark and Gore) but |
|
I'm much more concerned with 2006. We need to strike while the iron is hot. We need to obtain victories in the deep south. Do we even have candidates running in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama for Congress? I'd trade a Democratic Senate and Congress for the Presidency right now. I want the legislative branch to make Bush's last two years in office a living hell, with investigation after investigation.

And give them kudos for helping the victims and speaking out. We have to take back 2006 before looking ahead to 2008.
Whomever runs in 2008 (whether its Clark and/or Gore) is going to have a massive, I mean MASSIVE mess to clean up after Bush leaves in disgrace period.

25. Yes. All the way. There was a thread a couple of days ago..... |
|
it's title was simply... Al Gore. While I was sitting at my desk, yearning for a leader, someone who could direct us toward the future in ways that concern not just our country, but the world. Someone I could trust felt the pain, like I did. A person who I admired and believed who had spent his time, learning about our world as it is now, and what it will take to make it safe from the REAL threats that we are faced with. A man who earned his way to a place where he could offer comfort and it would be genuine and it would be so very much, humane.
I saw his name, through the madness of ever-changing thread titles of fear and rage, and it stood out. A light in the dark. An honest answer to a begging question.
Count me in.

Sorry, I like Clark but he's not presidential. What else does he have to offer? What experience does he have with working on the government besides being a general? Sorry, but if anything Gore would be the presidential nominee.

But what if Russ Feingold runs ... can we split the ticket three ways? Or how about 4?
Either Gore/Feingold/Clark would be great as president. It'll be interesting to see who all runs.
