Refugees getting vaccinations (tetanus and typhoid )

Per the scanner just now, local officers are asking for tetanus and typhoid vaccinations to be delivered to a triage center where some of the victims are located. I know there is a scanner thread but given the seriousness of the potential consequences, I am giving it a separate thread.


You know, out of the 24/7 coverage this week, very little has been mentioned about potential infection----and about sending the victims who MAY have such infections being sent around the country. Seeing as how we are hardly feeding them, I don't imagine they are being given full physicals.
And, at least in Houston, there are reports that they can come and go from the Dome in order to try to get a somewhat normal life (school, work, etc...). I am ALL for them going out whenever they want, I just hope this disaster doesn't lead into a bigger public health infection problem.
