Anyone work in the legal field--willing to organize legal aid 4 |
|
Katrina and it's survivors?
Much as people did after the elections for Ohio, etc.?
So many here have stated they feel scared, sad, helpless...here's a way to help--find lawyers, paralegals, etc. that may be interested in mobilizing on behalf of the victims/survivors of Katrina. Including the government of Louisiana that have vocally been critical of bushco and may be in trouble...
Anyone at all interested in organizing or at least gathering names, making phonecalls, etc.
p.s. Please try to keep this kicked until we get some response to this.

. . . legal fields have gotten too specialized. I know estate planning and probate law up and down, and will certainly volunteer my time to settle estates of those evacuees who may die here in Houston, and help others within my field, but helping in a suit against LA or Feds will require expertise I do not possess.
However, I will volunteer to assist others in preparing their relief paperwork.

2. That's great! That's exactly the kind of thing I was hoping for! |

Thank YOU!
I guess things are still too busy and chaotic around here to really organize anything that will help others...
We'll have much time, in the weeks, months, etc. ahead to get something like this together.
I do appreciate hearing of your willingness though--thank you!
