Wonderful slam against oil companies and Bush on Ebay auction
Edited on Sat Sep-03-05 08:03 PM by Mortos
Check out this auction. It is a wonderful funny and biting slam against the big oil companies and Bush's handling of the victims of Hurricane Katrina. I hope it gets national attention.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7180645624&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

Some of the description:

Now, I am not going to be like the big oil companies and raise the price after the auction is over. I don't expect to rake in billions of dollars of record profits and I won't use every possible scenario and tragedy that befalls our country or world to jack up the price and take advantage of my consumers.

and another:

A portion of the money from this auction will go to help the people of the Gulf Coast Region, devasted by Hurricane Katrina and suffering still today. If the federal government can't help them, the American people certainly can.

4. I asked this question
The president came back from vacation and said we were not supposed to buy gas if we didn't need it. Will I be breaking his rules if I bid?

5. It depends,
do you need it? I think he was talking about the brand new shiny $3.07 to $4.50 per gallon gas, not the antique $1.25 per gallon stuff in the auction.

9. The seller sent a reply to my question
Where I asked if buying gas would break Bush's rules about not buying gas unless we need it.

"It depends, did you vote for him, if so then the rules don't apply to you. If you didn't then, yes, you would be breaking his rules."
