The images are absolutely heartbreaking.

This is the first time I've lost it during this whole mess. A 6'5", 235-pound former college football player, reduced to tears. Thanks for making me so "proud to be an American" George.

6. Yes, I've donated a huge suitcase of clothes. Some with tags still

on that I haven't worn. Clothes for work and shorts and t-s for play and kute dresses for the teen girls. 2 pairs of new sneakers and a pair of and a pair of sandals.

25 lbs of hotel soaps, shampoos, lotions etc (I travel a lot and steal extras!) and some feminine hygiene items.

I feel great. I actually took it over to a house where 25 NOLA evacuees were staying with some family in ATL.

I feel much better!

2. I've seen more news reporters and anchors cry on TV this week

than I knew possible. Men and women. Some of whom reported from Iraq but did not cry then on TV. We're all crying now.

breaks my heart to see all the bad shit going on and that coupled with the fact that our Government caused a lot of this to happen due to apathy and inaction. I am speechlees at this point.
