I realize that this is a bit of an off-topic point considering everything that's going on, but I have to say it. If you like a post, make sure to nominate it. With the speed of the latest page and the (IMO--ridiculous) 5 nominations required, a lot of people are going to miss some great posts unless you exercise this option more readily.

1. I have made a new folder in my browser favs just for DU threads I want

to keep track of. Know I am missing a lot of good stuff when I am away though. Yeah, things flying fast.

I guess I just don't like the 5 nominations thing...I don't think people nominate enough, really. I've seen some decent, important posts fall by the wayside because of it.

It's gotten to the point that it's more about timing than content.

but it's not as though it's going to do any good. I guess I'll post similar thoughts over the next few days and see if I can get some reaction and understanding.

Some of this is selfish, I'll admit. I don't post other peoples' stuff. It's all my own personal work and I'm proud of a lot of it. One of my last posts before the change got a total of 36 nominations and, for me, that feels a little like winning a Pulitzer.

But I've seen a lot of other really good posts disappear with only 2 or three nominations. Or, worse, FOUR.

That just sucks.

5. Here's one that's been in there (Editorials and Other Articles)

for quite long and it's got the original 3 nominations, so it's missing only 2 more nominations that are not coming fast enough!

C'mon, please don't tell me some 75 thousand (plus) members have already 'forgotten' about Cindy???? What's goin' on here????
