Now that the Superdome is evacuated, are the others in NOLA on their own?

Clearly there are people in the city who have not been rescued. Are they on their own now? Are there any estimates of how many are still in there? Are there plans to look for people trapped in attics?

looking in attics, etc. MSNBC mentioned it in passing. :eyes:

2. I don't know about the rescue situation

but CNN showed helos dropping bottles of water and boxes of MREs whenever they saw people wading through the water or still in/around homes, so at least they are getting *something*.

A Time reporter on MSNBC said earlier.

4. There is a press confrerence right now from the local authorities

on WWLTV, they are saying they are still receiving 9-11 calls, 1000 today, and they are working on rescuing them.

Saying they still have small numbers at both the Convention Center and the Dome, about 2000 at the airport.
