FEMA using DU as a planning resource??

Just heard they are chartering 3 cruise ships for housing. I heard that idea on DU on Wednesday.

I was thinking the same thing. There were naysayers saying they couldn't get the people on the ships without piers, but they can. I guess FEMA and Carnival Cruise lines thought so too.

Cruise ships are based in NO, they can stock up on tons of food, water and they have medical assistance, it makes a lot of sense. They certainly could use tem, and their zodiacs to help people evacuate.

They get their ideas from here because the leaders are so incompetent and Chertoff is a god damn racist. :mad:

So of course they have to rely on a news site like democratic underground or buzzflash. They're trying to make a good political impression and save the president and cabinet, amidst their blatant racism. :eyes:
