How do the Southern Black Baptist
Preachers that supported Bushit in 2004 election feel now? I saw one on Charlie Rose one night that was working to get the message out to this entire parish.

2. I know there are many black Baptists,,,,probably very few black SoBapt
seriously doubt there are any black SoBapt preachers

the Jimmy Carter family left their church in Plains GA (along with many others) when the congregation voted not to accept a black man for membership

....

I think the republicans are working very hard to get black Pentecostals to preach that only republicans are Christian.....I know several black Pentecostals who have been very reluctantly persuaded to vote republican b/c of abortion

.....

I simply do not understand Eugene Rivers....I have heard him speak; he powerfully lambasts the white power structure that is largely responsible for the disaster of life in inner-city black neighborhoods.....I think he may have decided he'll take whatever money he can get and worry about the source later

.....he has a powerful message that the country, the church is losing its black children, especially the boys and young men, in the inner city.......he sees only worse disaster ahead if something doesn't change
