The whole world is watching
Edited on Sat Sep-03-05 10:53 PM by dsc
and we should be afraid, be very afraid. Osama Bin Laden has shown himself to be lots of things. Patient, smart, devious, and evil. Bush has shown our government to be lots of things. Inept, uncaring, unwilling to admit, much less learn from error, easily manipulated, and just down right stupid.

The absolutely inept response to the disaster in NO provides Bin Laden with a golden opportunity for future attack. This isn't even the first time we have shown such weakness. We have allowed a tax evading male prostitute to be in the White House press room, we have botched the relatively limited efforts to respond to the four Florida hurricanes, our President has spent close to a year on vacation out of the under five he has been President. And perhaps most dangerous of all, we have shown ourselves unwilling to sacrifice at all to accomplish any goal.

The whole world is watching, and we are like the naked neighbor in the window, just asking for the rest of the block to take us down.

On edit I may have forgetten Bush's worst sin in this regard, that of blaming any and every one else for his mistakes. That conduct leaves us less safe as we fight imaginary enemies instead of finding the mistakes we have made and fixing them.

3. So true,
and the repugs had the nerve to say that Cindy Sheehan and the Camp Casey protesters were aiding and abetting the terrorists.

6. Bin Laden doesn't need to do a damn thing...
Dumbyass is destroying the country for him. I wonder if he's on Osama's payroll?

7. But we have plastic and duct tape!!
We're fine. I'm not afraid of terrorists, I'm afraid of the pigs in DC. They're much more of a threat to my life and well being than so-called terrorists.

8. Yes! And there are probably
tens of thousands dead in New Orleans that prove your point so painfully. I think there's a quote I've heard, something about the enemy within.
