NO FUCKING WAY IS BUSH UP IN THE POLLS AFTER THIS NATIONAL DISGRACE! NO FUCKING WAY YOU GOD DAMN LIARS!
I hate the corporate media, EVERYONE IS FUCKING PISSED AT BUSH! He was at 36% and now he fucks up and everyone knows it and his poll numbers go up!?!?!
NO MOTHER FUCKING WAY!
They are fucking lying!
I hate them, hate them, hate them.
On Edit:
Ok, I saw the thread about gas the disaster and polls were involved and the Washington Post fooled me for a minute.
Not that I, ever for a second, thought that the poll was an accurate representation of America's mood, I thought that lots of corporate whores were saying the same thing. That is where I was wrong.
But if they try to artificially pull his numbers out of the 20's, I'm on it.
That's what I get for not being at the computer today.

As much as I've loved to drag half of America off to a saner corner of the world, I'm not about the leave these fundie praline-brains alone with the hot and glowing stuff.

Many of us want to leave.
I will say as long as I'm stuck here with no representation, I will also refuse to pay taxes. I don't want my taxes used for corporate globalism.

Even the repukes here in Red Kansas are pissed off at him. Some of the people around here who are pretty church-going even wonder how people can be left to suffer, while he flits around the country in his little jet plane, on our tax $. Most normal people I know think he's got no clue whatsoever, after this past week. There was a lot of * bashing at my work this morning, and personally, I enjoyed every minute of it.
Don't mind the media, some of the polls may be "freeped" somehow anyway...

8. He's not up in the polls |
|
He actually slid down another point according to two of them.
The polls from ABC ("A Bush Conspirator") were on which he was hated about more - gas prices or the southern crisis. They tried to spin it as the gas prices being a bigger problem, but I honestly think that's crap. I don't know anybody who doesn't want the man's job, at this point - even my red-loving Reptilican neighbor.

According to most of the responses, Bush is going downhill. I couldn't imagine it any other way.

16. I believe the polls. I think most of us here on DU don't understand... |
|
the magnitude of race hatred in America. Because so many of Katrina's victims are Afro-American, much of white America is indifferent -- or worse -- and the poll results thus express that hostility as white American support for Bush's policy of genocide-by-neglect.
Nor am I surprised. I am white, but I was part of the Civil Rights Movement, and I have absolutely no illusions about American race prejudice, then or now.
While I have no statistics to prove it, it has long been my impression that (despite decades of reducing institutionalized bigotry), there is a lingering hatred -- though admitted by far fewer whites -- that is actually getting much more intense. These poll results not only confirm that impression but bode very poorly for any hope Bush and the Republicans will face any meaningful political retaliation for the atrocity of New Orleans.
Indeed, though it pains me to say it, it could be this same ugly reality that explains the silence of some Democrats -- a fear to speak up on behalf the victims specifically because of the racial factors, especially the likelihood white America doesn't give a damn.
