As for those "With no means" -- FEMA is not proactive?
So it's all good for those who can afford it -- but FEMA wouldn't help evacuate, before the hurricane hit, those who did not have the wherewithal to leave the city themselves? I mean, it was guaranteed that a VERY bad hurricane was going to hit one of the most easily-compromised, and crowded, and poor cities in the country if not the world...

This sounds pretty F'd up to me... isn't FEMA supposed to help ALL citizens? And help them even before the shit hits the proverbial fan?
"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" ya know -- or is that some Darwinist-like phrase?

Sounds exactly like the Flu-shot rationale: 'It's expensive, so if some people die, well then they die... but we save money.'

Profit$ are all, in this administration.
God help us.

1. FEMA wasn't active at all.
Bottom line, they were swallowed by Homeland Security, and lost their power.
