In my wildest dreasms....

AN African American person comes forward and seizes this moment to galvanize black people and show them the reality of their power. If that happened I might believe that it was all worth it.

3. I'm thinkin' Oprah.

She's got the ear of Middle America. She can make things happen. She can rally African Americans AND white moderates/liberals (and Asians, Latinos, etc.) I know she doesn't like to appear to be political, but she has aligned herself with Barack Obama and said she'd support him when he ran for president.
