This is what I say to anyone who thinks that the feds are doing the best that they can in New Orleans. If this is the best that they can do, does their effort make you feel safer?

4. I don't expect them to keep me safe, either |
However, I live in a very red area (Tom DeLay country). A lot of people are horrified at what they see on TV, mostly because they remember Allison flooding Houston. At least the water could drain out here, unlike New Orleans.
Anybody who voices the opinion that the government didn't know what could happen gets this from me - "Aren't they supposed to know these things? If they read studies, they would have known. If they thought for five minutes, they would have known. The city sits in a bowl below sea level. How could the govt not get the people out before the storm hit?"

2. I'm afraid that they *are* doing their best - for the true agenda |
And for that, they're doing very well. :scared:

5. Sure, but that doesn't make me safer |
It doesn't make most of us safer. You are only safe if you look/act/spend like them.

8. They don't really want you to feel safe |
They want you off your pins with some level of fear buzzing in the back of your head all the time.

3. um, I've always felt vulnerable to direct assault from those thugs |
I don't feel any more or less safe. I foresaw a fair amount of the goings-on in NOLA save the concentration camp starvation fiasco.

10. No, but I am more angry than ever at the fools in Congress... |
I am completely disgusted by our Representatives who entrusted Bush with our tax money and our children's tax money and the Constitution because only George the Deserter, George the Drunk, George the feeble minded, could protect us. We are unprotected and vulnerable because of the powers our Congress gave that weak, incompetent, fool in the White House.
