if you tried. That's the reason no one else has gone in there.
There are a lot of highly qualified people who have volunteered to go in and help. They've been told "no".

I saw a man on telelvision who was in that group of a thousand under the highway overpass. He said his wife had evacuated to Texas in their car and he had stayed behind. He had been in contact with her by phone, and she was trying to come pick him up, but he wasn't allowed to go meet her.
