I was just a kid so I barely remember the movie. I do remember that before the kid realized who he was things always went his way and fell into place. Anytime someone figured out who he was they mysteriously died. Damien was always protected and bailed out.
When has a perpetual loser ever had such a continuous string of luck?? Things get better for him as sh!t falls apart around him. Anyone else takes these hits and our careers and possibly our lives would be over. Ever notice how through out Chicken George's life he is always bailed out. Most recently Reihnquist dies and that diverts attention from the Katrina disaster and famine which diverted attention the Robinson nomination which failed to take the light from Cindy Sheehan but kind of trumped the Rove/Plame investigation which trumped...
And then there was the CIA having to take the fall for the WMDs. Previous to that:
He was bailed out of having to get passing grades at Yale and received a "gentlemen's C".
He was bailed out of going to Vietnam by joining the Texas Air National Guard, (Chicken Hawks Division).
He was bailed out of his business failures with Harkan Energy Corp by his Daddy's friends
He was bailed out of losing 2 elections. One by the Supreme Court the other by Ohio voter fraud.
