What happens to Lake Pontchatrain?
The recovery plan for New Orleans, as I understand it, is to seal the breaches in the levys, and then pump the water out of the city -- into the lake. But, we've been told that the water in the city is a toxic mixture of sewage, chemicals, dead bodies, etc. What's this going to do to the ecosystem of the lake and the surrounding area?

1. Destroy it...
Manetee were starting to return after decades of work on cleaning the lake.

I don't know that there is anyway to prevent it though.

2. They talked about decontaminting it. It will cost more, which is not
a problem, but it will take a lot more time to get the water out of the city. That is the problem.
