President Gore...You act and speak for me...
Although you are no longer in office I trust your encouraging words and deeds. I am asking you in the most direct manor to address the nation regarding the rescue efforts and your vision for the future.

I also trust you will run for reelection in 08.

1. Amen
Al Gore is the only person in America who is behaving like a President right now. He should run in 2008.

2. I second
After hearing what he was PERSONALLY doing to get critical patients out of NOLA, my first thought was "he needs to run again".

Thank you, President Gore.

4. He made arrangements for a plane to pick up 150 critical patients
and fly them up to Tennessee for specialized care. I think he was on the plane as well, but I've read and seen so much in the last week, that part is a bit fuzzy.

6. He went down to NOLA, personally loading critically ill folks into a plane
he chartered to take them to hospitals in Tennessee. He would have been there much earlier, but FEMA jerked him around for days before they gave him clearance.

Haven from fury Mercy Flight Brings Evacuees to ET
Gore accompanies about 140 arrivals from New Orleans but declines to take credit

By ROBERT WILSON

(snip)

About 140 people - mostly elderly and infirm - arrived Saturday at McGhee Tyson Airport on a chartered mercy flight from hurricane-ravaged New Orleans, welcomed to East Tennessee by a bright sun and a host of medical professionals straining at the reins to help their fellow human beings without regard to whether they were on the clock.

The displaced hurricane victims came to Tennessee on a hastily arranged flight, accompanied by doctors and carrying whatever they had in boxes, bags or, in one case, an old suitcase tied up with rope.

Former Vice President Al Gore arranged the flight and was on board, but he declined to take credit for the airlift, fearing it would be "politicized."

Presentation from 6:30-8:00 pm

This is a unique opportunity to see Al Gore present on an issue of vital local, national, and international importance.

In Congress and the White House, he was the leader of a wide range of environmental initiatives.

Global warming is affecting the world we live in, including here in Oregon, where sea levels on the coast are rising and snowpack in the Cascades has declined by 50 percent. Vice President Gore is traveling the world delivering a compelling multimedia presentation on the global environmental crisis and issuing a ringing call to action.

On Tuesday September 6, 2005 at 6:30 pm, the former Vice President will be delivering his multimedia presentation on global warming and the environment at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland.

The former Vice President's presentation on global warming and the environment will teach, enlighten, inform and entertain.

9. You You Please Repost This As Its Own Subject
I think it would be an awfully good thing if a few thousand people contact C-Span and get them to cover this. I am sure, absolutely certain, that after his experiences of this past week President Gore's speech tuesday will go a lot farther than Global Warming and offers the promise of being a very important statement to the American people by one of the finest men alive.

13. I have always been a huge fan of Al Gore
When he was a Vice President, he went out of his way to comfort a couple who lost their child to tornado that ripped thru their church in Alabama. He is so very "To the People, For the People" as well as "For the Environment" and Animals. He is the Protector. A true leader.

We need him more than ever to pull America out of the huge, horrible mess Bush Co. has caused.

Al Gore for President '08

Go, Al, Go

We love you
