2. CNN Solodad Did An Interview With The NO Police Chief....
and he couldn't say more about his force. He indicated that they performed admirably given the situation. Yes - two officers committed suicide - he indicated one of them found out his wife died in the hurricane. He said non of his guys were shot. They had to perform in the worst of conditions and they held their ground - even with dwindling supplies of ammo and food and water.

I don't know what ABC is spewing - but they are trying to make the NO police look bad - and it isn't so.

Most unfortunate is there is much misinformation going around. People spreading stories without confirming the info.

And the * administration is looking to spin this in a way that they can justify being able to stay in office for the next 3 years. If they do - just think of the damage they can do.

* already got his payoff for the handling of this tragedy. He now has another appointment to make on the SC. He'll justify this as saying God rewarded him for his heroics amid the hurricane.

I heard one reporter saying that the WH is unprepared for Rehnquist passing and don't know what they'll do. I can't believe that Rove hasn't had this all worked out years ago.

Watch and see further erosion of America in the weeks to come.

I long for the days before the 2000 election - back when we all were happy.

4. most likely the WH knew rehnquist was about dead....
unrealistic to think they were not keeping tabs on the situation breath by breath and glad to see him die so they can get on with their lives.

5. Nagin is on CNN
saying he's got police and firefighters suffering from PTSD. He needs to get them to hospitals, and FEMA's arguing about what they'll pay. (He said he'll pay and sort out the money later.)

These people, Nagin said, held the city together pretty much on their own for 3 or 4 days.
