CONVOY OF FOOD/SUPPLIES GOT INTO HYATT HOTEL IN N.O. WEDNESDAY
"A convoy of food and supplies provided by Hyatt hotels in Atlanta and Houston arrived at Hyatt Regency New Orleans on Wednesday of this week." This convoy was for the Hyatt employees and their guests.

which I think is just fine - but it proves that things that weren't done could have been done, had anybody in the government had bothered to try.

9. I agree...
I live in Baton Rouge, but work in St. Charles Parish (very near the New Orleans airport in Jefferson Parish). Despite roadblocks and flooding, we were able to get to our building and had corporate HQ send in plenty of water and a 55 kilowatt generator to power up the building.

I can't call this item proof that there was a race or class issue going into play, but it damn sure proves that if somebody had actually tried to do something to help they could have succeeded.

10. That's because Bush didn't arrive...
...until Friday. They held off, so it could appear that he was "leading the cavalry". Of course, it was a fake cavalry and a staged photo op, but who cares, he doesn't give a shit about these people....
